Anchorage Nordic Ski Patrol – State Park Backcountry Patrol. Up valley from parking lot towards saddle overlooking south fork eagle river. Clear skies and sunny, some snow transport observed. Lots of anti-tracks and wind buff. Lots of folks out enjoying themselves. Found avalanche debris in Avalanche Gulley, practiced strategic shoveling, dug pit near flank of avalanche.

Avalanche Gulley.Did not witness slide. Slope was most likely wind loaded prior to the slide. Large slabs on lookers left cracked but did not realease. Large debris, some blocks 6 feet wide. Estimated slide ran 1500 feet. Alpha angle 20 degrees. Debris pile 120 cm deep at toe.
