Avalanche: Chugach State Park

Location: Anchorage Home - Roofavalanche

Route & General Observations

Up standard track to get first tracks to Wood Peak. When we approached the gully to “firewood” run, it felt like we were under hanging fire so we bailed.

Be careful out there!

Roofs continue to shed their snow in many communities. These can be extremely dangerous and a good reminder to 'look up' when close to buildings. Thanks Kakiko for the engaging report!
