Ptarmigan North S Coulior. Booted from the bottom on what we deemed to be stable snowpack until the upper right turn. Encountered substantial weak layer of facets around 100cm down at 4500ft over exposed cliff band. Failure of the overlaying slab would have had devastating consequences. Opted to traverse left to ski from the east shoulder.
Natural sluffs affected the skiing in some places, but overall great riding. Of note- surface hoar was present from top to bottom and may be an issue with the impending storm.
