Did observe evidence of D1 sluff, probably skier-tiggered, on the west-facing side of April Bowl. To much shadow to get good pic.
From PL just below Hatcher Pass Rd gate, skied up snowmachine route towards Hatcher Pass. Then peeled off, crossed Hatcher Ck and headed up bench on N. side $1000. Topped out in saddle at 4300ft overlooking April Bowl.

Cold and clear with calm winds. At 1400 temp -11C.
At PL 25cm loose and wind transported snow with minor development of 1mm surface hoar. Above 3600ft transitioned to mixture of wind slab and loose snow overlying old M/F crust (pic attached).
See attached pit profile. At pit elevation of 4300ft found loose snow overlying a series of aternating layers of wind slab, rounding facets and M/F crust. Got STN and CTN for stabiity tests. Did not do ECT due to nonreaction of snowpack in CT test.
