Rode from the end of Snug Harbor road through V-Max hill and over to Lost Lake and the weather station. Got the weather station back up and running, yay!  [ Read More ]
Windy conditions today. High winds out of the Northwest impacted upper and mid elevations in Seward, Lost Lake, Carter Lake, and Summit Lake. One natural avalanche reported by public on MT Benson near Seward. SE aspect 10am. Reported seeing powder cloud coming down. Main avalanche path on Benson. Colder Temperatures 18F with Northwest winds and areas of light snow caused avalanches on South facing slopes and cross loaded steep terrain. Visibility was poor today but found evidence of D-1 and some D-2 avalanches.  [ Read More ]
