Route & General Observations

Snowmachined in afternoon (4-8 pm) over to Upper Willow Creek, up to ridge of Skyscraper to 4450′, over to west bowl of Hatch Peak, up Craigie Creek to Dogsled Pass.

Observer Comments

Recent looking cornice-fall triggered avalanche in the second bowl from the south end of Craigie Creek. Recent cornice fall in April Bowl. Lots of wet loose avalanches on solar aspects. Lots of roller balls on north aspects.

Weather

No new precip, calm wind, temperatures in the upper 30's.

Snow surface

Upper Willow Creek has ~3" of settled powder on a melt-freeze crust. Snow has become moist on steeper solar aspects. 4-6" of settled powder at Schroff Lake.
