Toured up into two lakes valley and near top of mountain. Snow quality diminished on route to really strange and terrible, planned to ski a chute near the top. On the way to chute triggered hard wind slab avalanche. Conditions in chute were the same. Retraced up track then skied west face into Delia creek. Snow quality better but not great. At this point the light was fading so we snuck in a quick lap on Rae Wallace. Much better snow quality, wind had filled in skin track at ridge tops and some tracks.
I also observed the following:
Steep south facing.
Pretty large solar, 8” of mush on top.
Made me exit a slope very quickly.
No avy activity, but significant warming up of snowpack
