New, reactive wind slabs observed on leeward slopes and moderate to fast sloughing encountered on S & W faces.

Able to ski cut and release small (1"), insignificant wind slabs with little energy and no propagation. Moderate sloughing observed and encountered on S & W slopes.

Clear, cold, wind <5mph. ~4" new snow deposited during the recent storm on Thursday (11/16).

Snow surface

4" new snow on melt-freeze ice crust. Wind slabs near ridge tops on leeward slopes.

Snowpack

No formal snow pit dug. Melt-freeze crust still remains inactive with the new load of low-density snow.
