Parked at upper road run lot, crossed creek and up the east shoulder of peak 4068 to 3650ft.

Experienced propagating collapsing woompf and dug a pit to investigate. Skied down from the pit location.

Broken to scattered.
Calm to light winds down valley, out of the north.
2400ft: 19F
3650ft: 16F

Snow surface

Light density new snow at all elevations. Wind affected above ~2700ft.

Snowpack

Below ~2700ft, fist hard light density new snow over the melt-freeze crust at the ground. See hand pit photo at 2250ft.

Above ~2700ft, basal facets below the melt-freeze crust began to appear. See full pit profile at 3650ft. ECTP12@20cm(Q2/RP). PST(END)30/100@20cm. Top of basal facets @20cm from bottom of snowpack. Propagated collapse (woompf) prompted investigation with this pit.

High spatial variability on windward side of the ridge, southern aspect, with wind scouring to ground and cross loading.
HS in this area ranging from 0 to 80cm.
