Route & General Observations

Road observation: Glide avalanche on the northern flank of 4068 and must have happened between 3-5pm, since I didn’t see it on the way up to the mine parking lot. Also observed multiple glide crack avalanches around the independence bowl on Marmot, near Martin mine, under Dorado Bowl, and around mine rollovers in the terrain we toured up to Micro Dot party bench. It was late afternoon, 3-4” of powder in spots, mixed with sun crust on southern aspects. Snow depth is about 24”-36”, with breakable rain crust about 6-8” from surface. Light winds, 31F.
