Route & General Observations

Toured up Rae Wallace Bowl then up Microdot to the top of Nose Bleed. The melt freeze crust in Rae Wallace made for a fast skin. The solar heating is getting pretty extreme, but feels great.

Observer Comments

With the solar radiation, everything facing somewhat south is getting a good cooking leading to point releases, wet slabs, and glide avalanches. I did not see any of the above happen during our tour, but were plenty of examples on slopes around us from other days.

No new snow, calm winds, and temps in the 40's.

Nose Bleed- Layer of surface hoar, with a thin melt freeze crust and rounding facets underneath.
