Route & General Observations

I triggered an avalanche just off the top of marmot skiing with my brother. The cornice mostly stayed in tact but about 6 to 10 inch thick crown that slid approximately 400-500 ft. Partially buried but unhurt.

Forecaster Comments

One set of tracks were on similar aspect , slightly more SE, from earlier in day prior to this avalanche. The skier triggered the wind slab at his feet on a WSW aspect at 4500'. Skier was caught and carried approximately 400-500ft, and was not buried.
