Observation: Hatcher Pass

Short tour just to get out moving above independence mine towards Friendship pass. Sastrugi and variable snow on most unprotected areas from recent winds. A few whumpfs throughout tour, one on steep side bank of cross country trail with ~8ft shooting crack. Skiing was variable and thin as expected.

Wx: Clear skies, calm winds 0-5mph(a lot different than the valley and anchorage!), temps felt warmer than Saturday but did not have thermometer.
