Route & General Observations

Toured up from the lot just below the mine around noon just to get a couple of quick laps in and see how the snow on north aspects looked.

Saw several wet loose avalanches that had come down recently mainly on steep northeast to northwest aspects…a few could have been small cornice failures entraining near surface snow. No slab avalanches observed though a few of the wet loose slides ran a good ways and entrained a decent amount of snow.

Snow surface on north aspects was supportable to breakable crust until finally softening for some pretty decent riding by 3 pm. Ski penetration negligible with boot penetration less than ankle deep.

Any solar aspect had very soft corn snow but a lot of south facing stuff was melting out fast.

Temps were near 40 degrees by 3pm
