Failure on distinct persistent weak layer. Picture of crystal type attached.

Distinct cracking and audibly loud popping while skiing across ~37 degree supported slope from Gold Cord Lake toward the Rock Garden. Slope settled, cracked, and slid about 6 inches before arresting. 30 ft wide, 50 ft long, 0.5 ft deep.

Fun snow on north Microdot, challenging snow on Farside, firm snow on Friendship Pass.
