Route & General Observations

Bennett’s Ride, 31deg. NE aspect, @~3750’ elevation, 31 deg. Slope. ECTP #12, it propagated at depth ~12 cm at faced weak layer.
Based on these findings, our group decided to take a conservative approach and kept to low angle slope.
However on the way back to the truck I did trigger a deep layer slab near the bottom creek, next to the road that propagated ~70’ at the crown and ran to the bottom of the creek. The point is, stay away from terrain traps, even at lower elevation.

I triggered a deep slab D1? (~80’ long crown) and maybe 2’ deep? at the bottom of the creek in a typical terrain trap near the lower parking lot. It ran towards the creek. I rode it out but it could have easily buried a person if they lost control during “the slide.”
