No surface hoar observed today but plenty near surface facets. We suspect surface hoar still exists in some protected locations. Sun crusts are visible on southerlies and/or buried by a few inches of near surface facets. A stout and supportable drizzle crust is easily found 6-8" deep on northerly aspects.
