Route & General Observations
Excellent visibility today to see the widespread avalanche cycle from the last storm cycle. Impressive cycle.
Tons of previous avalanches from last storm, suspected persistent weak layer still buried wherever it did not avalanche or reload.
Mostly sunny, light SE wind, temps reached low to mid 30's in afternoon.
Rain crust from road to about 2,000' elevation - 5/10cm freeze in am - softened in pm however still crusty in the shade.
10-15cm supportable melt/freeze/wind crust above 2,000' with cold snow underneath.
3mm surface hoar found on shady side along ridge line.
Sorry no formal snow pits, objective for the day was fun ski laps on low angle terrain.
