Route & General Observations
Skinned up center ridge of fresno through about 6″ of fresh soft snow.
Stopped at 3250 ft and dug a pit on a 25 degree slope, temp was 23 degrees.
48″ of snow pack with again 6″ of fresh soft snow.
I did a single column test which caused the MLK layer to fail on the first hit from the shoulder.
I saw two very small slides on the opposite side of the valley from us.
watch for rocks on wind affected shallow slopes.
