An avalanche came down on the Russian River trail sometime between 1:30 pm May 10 and 12:25 pm May 11. We hiked into Aspen Flats cabin yesterday across this trail which was totally free of ice and snow. Hiking out today, we saw this sight! We detoured clear around the foot of the debris. We approximate this to be at Mile 6 from the Russian River trailhead, it is definitely at least a mile past the Lower Russian lake (south end). Pictures are taken in order on our way out and back to the trail head.
