AAS – Level 2 Avalanche Course

Backcountry travelers who have completed their Level 1 course and wish to enhance their skills are a good fit for the Level 2 course. The course is centered around avalanche hazard evaluation, observation, and decision-making, and offers a unique opportunity to practice those skills. Join CNFAIC forecasters for a FREE hands-on and in-the-snow avalanche rescue workshop!! This 1.5 hour informal rescue workshop is geared for all user groups. Hot Dog and Ski Bunny Party – Night 1, CNFAIC Fundraiser!!!

The 12th annual Hot Dog and Ski Bunny party will be on January 27th and 28th at the Sitzmark Bar in Girdwood. These guys have always used your wild dance moves to help various ski organizations out each year. This years recipient will be Chugach National Forest Avalanche Information Center!!!

If you don’t make it out on the 27th we hope to see you on the 28th!!
