Backcountry Ski/Snowboarding Skills

March 5

| $125

Are you new to backcountry skiing or snowboarding? Do you want to make the most of your “earned turns?” This is a full-day clinic focused on improving your backcountry skiing and riding skills in preparation for truly enjoying your backcountry experience and making for safer travel in backcountry avalanche terrain.
Taught by ski instructors with backcountry travel knowledge, students will spend the morning on groomed slopes focusing on making good turns and learning proper technique. Students will then progress off the groomers to learn the techniques for riding off-piste slopes and practicing skills in variable terrain and snow conditions.

This course is taught as a stand-alone course, or taught in combination (for a discount) with the Intro to Backcountry Skiing/Riding course (http://www.skiarctic.net/education-at-arctic-valley/) the prior Friday and Saturday at Ski AK and Arctic Valley.
