Summit Lake Soft-Slabs
Location:Tenderfoot and Butcher Mtns

Description: These recent soft-slab avalanches were observed from Colorado
Peak on Tenderfoot and Butcher Mountains in Summit Lake area.
They are both on SW aspects, and likely failed during the storm
the night before when 7 inches of new snow fell with gusts to 30
mph, or the day before when gusts went up to 54 mph. There are
several more in the area.
